Toss ‘em in the bed, it builds character. Especially in winter, on Maine logging roads (trust me).

Depended on a couple things for me, really:
Grandpa used to slow down and dodge the potholes, my uncle used to mat the gas and aim for ‘em.
It was also a bit better in full-on winter, as the potholes would kind of fill up with snow pack and not be as deep. Come mud season (spring), when they started cutting and hauling full time again, the holes got
a lot
deeper in a hurry.
I nearly lost a Nissan Sentra on my grandparents road when I was back for a visit in early May. Crested the hill on the way to the house, and it looked like Flanders Field from WW1 in front of me.

A logging road in New Brunswick claimed a tire on me. They can be mean places! (Thankfully I had a spare!)
